Erica Starke
Writer / Producer
Erica writes and produces special video projects for clients – helping to guide them through the production process while making sure goals are met on time and within budget. Her responsibilities also include location scouting, conducting field interviews, supervising b-roll shoots, and directing on-camera talent.
Erica's work in video production spans 15 years. She comes to Home Front from Discovery Health Channel, where she worked as a Producer for Dr. Mehmet Oz. Prior to Discovery, Erica was based in New York City where she worked for Court TV, Oxygen Media and ABC News 20/20.
She also worked for CBS News, which included a stint as a Researcher for the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan. Her favorite Olympic experience? Getting to watch the USA take on Japan in the first-ever Olympic Women's Ice Hockey event. "It was history in the making, and the U.S. women took home the gold that year," Erica commented.
When she's not busy producing videos, you might find Erica relaxing to the cool sounds of jazz. She's such a fan, that she even named her son Miles after a certain famous trumpeter.
Erica holds a B.A. in English from North Carolina Central University.
