PHP Developer
Home Front Communications, a D.C.-based Interactive, public relations and video production firm, is seeking a PHP developer to join its growing Web development team.
The ideal candidate will have at least a bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years' experience working in Web development, preferably in an agency environment. He or she will also bring the following to his or her new position at Home Front:
- 2 years minimum experience with HTML/XHTML and CSS.
- 2 years minimum Web programming experience with PHP.
- 2 years minimum experience with Javascript development, including the usage of libraries such as jQuery.
- 2 years minimum experience working with relational database systems such as MySQL and Structured Query Language (SQL).
- Significant experience working with Drupal content management system, including theme development and site configuration.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects with pressing deadlines.
- Capable of being a valuable contributor to a tight-knit team.
We will give preference to candidates who:
- Have experience theming and developing sites that use Expression Engine and/or WordPress.
- Are passionate about open-source projects and regularly contribute to one or more.
- Have UNIX shell experience and have worked with Subversion, CVS or related versioning tools.
